Take 3 Giant Steps...

STEP ONE

While you're waiting for your book to arrive, download some FREE tools so you can started right away...

Your student will practice 10% of the spellings for sounds and 600 of the most common words and syllables - for FREE. Together you'll lay the foundation for what is to come, as you develop fluency and accuracy with the most fundamental building blocks of language.

You'll also use some activities and games to increase your student's familiarity with alphabetical order. This will make it easier for them to use reference tools, and so, strengthen their capabilities as an independent learner.

You'll get your feet wet as an assistant, and your student will experience how much fun it can be to learn the Soundpatternz™ way.

STEP TWO

When "Perfect Practice with Common Words" arrives...
You'll help your student practice orally with over 2,000 common words, and they'll learn the next 80% of what they need to learn,

90% of speech consists of only 2,000 words.

When students become proficient with the words they use most often, they stop repeating and reinforcing their mistakes, and when these words are mastered first, students can link less common words and spellings to this foundation.

Your student will use easy step-by-step practice with groups of common words, related by sound and organized from easiest to hardest. They will uncover and overcome any spelling challenges, while at the same time improving reading fluency.

STEP THREE

Using the words and techniques they mastered in STEP TWO as a springboard...
Your student will dive into the final 10% of what they need to know to become fluent and accurate speakers, readers and writers.

They'll master key uncommon words and spellings which can challenge even the best spellers. And they'll complete the foundation that will continue to support their growing skills.

They'll also become familiar with the SPELLING KEY, an essential reference tool included with the book. This handy binder pull-out/mini-poster will continue to support their learning, no matter where they are.

They are remarkably different from anything your student has used before because they are designed to achieve a more significant goal. Your student won't just learn skills; they'll achieve mastery.

They are practicing so that they can:

• Discover, subconsciously, the patterns in words and
• Learn to process these patterns accurately and fluently when reading and spelling.

Thanks to advanced technology, researchers are able to give us a much better idea of how memories are created. We now know that a single memory is actually a sequence of electrical activities in various parts of the brain. The richer the memory that is formed the more likely it is to be remembered. The Soundpatternz™ activities will stimulate all of your student's senses during a sequence of cumulative sensory events to create a permanent memory of the patterns.
